Flower of Evil

Flower of Evil is а hand-made Bohemian lead crystal sculpture inspired by book of lyric poetry titled Les Fleurs du mal by Charles Baudelaire. He was the first representative of early European modernism and ancestor of symbolism as an artistic direction.
The dynamic shаpe symbolizes aspiration and courage. The hand-blown lead crystal piece has a uniform movement – forward and backward, pouring and infusion, tide and outflow. The shape it elongated and dynamic in its initial volume, which gradually passes into small hand-shaped spheres and rises into a flame. Metal oxides color the lead crystal purple. A sense of transfusion is being transmitted. Creative energy flows freely into expression. The same movement is manifested in the phenomena of the world, the stars, the cosmos, the mind, the energy and the matter. On the principle of rhythm everything flows in and out, and only so the rhythm is balanced.
